I have always enjoyed looking through Kaleidoscopes and Teleidoscopes and seeing the changing symmetrical patterns. But once I looked through one that was broken and the patterns were not symmetrical, I was hooked.

 

These abstract photos are not digitally created patterns, but shot through various Teleidoscopes. I have experimented by deconstructing and reimagining what a pattern can be. The element of chance is always welcome.
